HARLINGEN - To celebrate International Coaching Week Feb. 3-9, Sharon Golden, CEO of Golden Performance Solutions, is offering a free introductory program about coaching and a sample coaching session in exchange for your donation to benefit local United Way programs.

An International Coaching Federation member, Golden is joining professional coaches around the world who are offering pro bono programs and services during the week to benefit their communities.

Coaching is an ongoing collaborative relationship with a professional coach in a thought-provoking and creative process that inspires the person to maximize their personal and professional potential.

On Thursday, Feb. 7, an introductory program on coaching will be offered at the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Learn about business and personal coaching, how it works and how it can benefit your goals and outcomes for work and life, as well as your health and well being. Light refreshments available.

On Friday, Feb. 8, a coaching blitz will be conducted at the chamber from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Confidential sample coaching sessions are available with Golden to show how coaching can inspire your success in achieving business and personal goals. Appointments are available in person at the chamber or by phone.

For a donation of $10 or more to the United Way of Northern Cameron County, individuals can attend the introductory program on coaching and experience a sample coaching session.

Jessica Belchner, executive director of the United Way of Northern Cameron County and Chris White of the Junior League of Harlingen will be accepting the donations. To register, call the Harlingen Chamber of Commerce at 423-5440.
